The CD

Composed during the autumn of 2004, this is the follow-up concept album to ‘Jack the Ripper’ which was released in the previous spring. Here the sensitive subject of Joseph (John) Merrick, commonly known as `The Elephant Man` because of his terrible deformities, is tackled. Originally seen as a reviled Victorian circus freak, he has become loved, in retrospect, by a more sympathetic and educated 21st century public.
