A Dreamer’s Tale Lyrics...

With Me Now

I can feel the wind blow through your auburn hair
Do you feel the summer breezes in the air?
But are you there with me now?

I can see the sunlight shine upon your face
I can hear your sweet voice
Fade without a trace
So are you there with me now, with me now?

Memories of the good flashing through my mind
It`s been hard without you
Help me to unwind
So are you there with me now, with me now?

Cold stones are just markers
Setting out our times
This tree of yours reminds me
Of when you were truly mine
So are you there with me now, with me now?

Mitchell`s Boys

Tribute to the men who flew
Our Merlins at the Hun
We owe our memories to the `Brylcreem Boys`
They`re heroes every one.

The boys who never came back

Mitchell`s boys take to the skies
In another daring run
Twelve weeks life expectancy
They flew into the sun

The boys who never came back
The boys who never came back

What`s Left of Me

I don`t read the Sunday papers
I don`t watch no Sky TV
Never been to Colorado
Never been to Tennessee

Politicians have a hard time
Making me believe their lines
I would rather make some music
Sitting here and drinking wine

Oh babe...

I know I`m quite the furthest
From your sense of the ideal
I don`t belong in your fine company
The talent that you say I have
Don`t open any doors
But what`s left of me,
If there`s a use for it,
Is yours.

I don`t speak no foreign language
You make fun of my own.
No degrees or fine diplomas
I got a PhD in moan

If I can`t capture your attention
Or impress you with my tune
The the love I`ll always have for you
Might as well fly over the moon.
Over the moon.

(Take Me) In Your Arms

Take me in your arms once more tonight
Just hold me tight
We can fly away from here

High above the roofs we float along
Our love so strong
We can travel anywhere

Is There Anybody Out There?

Is there anybody out there
Does anybody care?
Did you come here when the earth was young
Did you travel through the air?

A shooting star streaks silently
Through the stillness of the night
Its message is misunderstood
A wondrous, holy sight

And did you send an envoy here
Two thousand years ago?
To see what progress man had made
His planet far below

Primaeval race you took embrace
And merged the man we know
The merging of two races
One high, the other low

And do you come back from time to time
And look upon your flock
In craft so strange that men remain
Inclined to stand and mock.

So show us there`s no need to fight
Amongst ourselves each day
The promise of your presence soon
Will surely light the way.

Ghosts

Can`t you see them standing there
In the corner by the chair?

He stands so tall, his wife quite near
The little girl still to appear.

Now the little girl appears
Hair in ringlets,
Eyes in tears

They seem to know I`m in the room
Their faces hidden in the gloom

Two Lovers

On a frozen lake two lovers
They dance, they dance,
The moonlit night away.

With the moon and stars above them
Dance on till the break of day

But the frozen world around them
Wraps them in its icy hand
Slowly turns them into statues where they stand.

When the sun rose in the morning
Melting all the frost away
Our two lovers joined as one
Now start to melt into the lake
And become as one
